Final Report: Train Derailment near Charleston, KS (La Junta Subdivision)

On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at approximately 03:30 PM. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Charleston, KS which affected the main track. Charleston, KS is approximately 35 miles west of Dodge City, Kansas. BNSF personnel have responded and assessed the site. The main track opened on Thursday, July, 25 at 09:15 P.M CDT.
